Johnson claimed his first major title earlier this year when he held off Tiger Woods to win the Masters. He also won the AT&T Classic and stands seventh on the money list.

The event shifts away from Trilogy Golf Club to a new venue as this year's event will be contested on the new Celebrity Course at Indian Wells Golf Resort.

Ames, who was making his first appearance in this event last year, birdied the third playoff hole to beat Couples and take home eight skins and $590,000. Couples claimed more skins, nine, and collected $385,000. John Daly picked up the final skin and $25,000, while 2005 winner Fred Funk was shutout.

The event will have nine holes televised on both November 24th and 25th. LG Electronics is in the second year of a three-year agreement as title sponsor.
